Bringing a fashion search engine to life
Background
In 2013, ShopStyle, a leading fashion search engine, sought to enhance its brand recognition and user engagement. To achieve this, the company partnered with the advertising agency Sub Rosa to develop a high-impact campaign that would position ShopStyle as a go-to destination for fashion enthusiasts seeking a seamless online shopping experience.
Problem
Despite its robust platform, ShopStyle faced challenges in distinguishing itself within the competitive online fashion market. The brand needed to elevate its visibility and appeal to a broader audience, emphasizing its unique value proposition amidst numerous competitors.
Solution
To address these challenges, ShopStyle and Sub Rosa launched a $25 million multi-platform advertising campaign. The strategy encompassed various channels, including television commercials, digital advertising, and social media engagement, to ensure widespread reach and resonance with the target audience. A key element of the campaign was a TV commercial that showcased how ShopStyle worked in an engaging and dynamic way. The ad featured fashion-savvy women effortlessly using the platform to search, compare, and purchase clothing in just a few clicks. By integrating stylish visuals with a clear demonstration of the product’s functionality, the campaign successfully amplified ShopStyle’s presence, attracting new users and reinforcing its position in the online fashion industry.
