So this is Brooklyn Kickball at its finest! My team’s name is Balls To The Wall and we rock. Seriously, look at the scoreboard.

A few hundred 25 -35 year old nerds get together in McCarren Park in Brooklyn every Sunday to play a 4th grade gym class sport. Everyone justifies this activity by drinking cheep beer out of Styrofoam cups and blasting music from a PA speaker. Everyone is here for a good time, and every one gets it.

Oh yeah, and I forgot my uniform shirt like a jackass.

Lucky me, I had a chance to attend the wednesday practice round of the 2009 US Open on a beautiful sunny day. If you turn on the TV right now you’ll see that the course has since been soaked by 5 inches of rain and it’s not likely to stop; so I got in at just the right time.

I took all of these photos with a simple Canon 350d body and sigma 70-300mm lens. Kind of makes me wonder what I could do with this camera and this lens.
